A bit about me
I first came to the North West nearly 40 years ago, to study for a degree at the University of Manchester.
After graduating, I did a PGCE in Maths and have over 30 years of experience teaching Maths and Further Maths at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level.
I have an excellent reputation in the classroom and students find me approachable, friendly and helpful because I explain things well.
I have marked GCSE and A level papers for many years, which gives me a great understanding of how marks are awarded in examinations.
I have tutored young people to improve their GCSE or A level grade, to give them more confidence and to prepare them for school entrance examinations.
I can help with all aspects of GCSE at Higher and Foundation level and A Level Maths including Pure Maths, Statistics and Mechanics.
I have 2 grown up children, and love chocolate, fresh air and tea. I am enhanced DBS checked.
My Tutoring Services
At Achieve Maths Mastery, I specialise in providing targeted tutoring for GCSE, A Level, and Key Stage 3 students. My sessions are designed to build confidence and mastery in Maths.
In-Person Tutoring;
One-to-One or Small Groups
My belief is that face-to-face tuition is best to build confidence and trust.
You will receive dedicated attention to improve your understanding of key concepts. You can work with me one-to-one or in a group with one or two other students who are working at a similar standard to you.
Online Tutoring
If you would prefer online sessions, we can arrange to meet on Teams. However, I believe that face-to-face tutoring is more effective.
Exam Preparation
Get intensive support with past papers in the run-up to your exams.
Homework Help
Get assistance with homework and overcome challenging topics from class.
